Refund Information

  • Players who withdraw at any time due to injury, illness or family relocation will be entitled to 100% of unused regular registration fees less a $50 administration fee
  • Prior to August 15th - Players who withdraw will be charged a $50 administrative fee and will be refunded the remainder of their fees paid. 
  • August 15th - September 9th - Players who withdraw will be charged 50% of the player's registration fee and a $50 administration fee. (This will be deducted from the refund)
  • September 10 - No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws after September 10, 2022. 
  • Special consideration may be granted by SDMHA Executive to a player in an extraordinary circumstance.

Late registrations will be subject to $50 late registration fee.


Prior to June 23 parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to make sure they have the required information and have completed the registration requirements outlined below. Incomplete registration packages will be not be accepted.


Registration Requirements:

  1. Player information (name, address etc.)
  2. Parent/Guardian information (names, address, phone number, etc.)
  3. Read SDMHA Social Media Policy
  4. Read SDMHA Code of Conduct
  5. Create/update SDMHA RAMP registration account
  6. Create/update emergency medical/contact information (ePACT)
  7. Successfully complete Respect In Sport for Parents or Activity Leaders/Coaches (must provide certificate # during registration, to find your certificate # click HERE)
  8. Complete Criminal Record Check, for further information please see Criminal Record Check page (If submitting a CRC for the first time or renewing, please attach proof of CRC submission to player registration. If you are uncertain of your CRC status/expiry please contact your current team manager)
  9. Valid credit card for payment (Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit)


Registration Fees

U6 (Birth Year 2017), $575 + $100*

U7 (Birth Year 2016), $750 + $100*

U9 (Birth Year 2014/2015), $750 + $100*

U11 (Birth Year 2012/2013), $850 + $100*

U13 (Birth Year 2010/2011), $850 + $100*

U15 (Birth Year 2008/2009), $880 + $100*

U18 (Birth Year 2005/2006/2007), $890 + $100*

U21 (Birth Year 2002/2003/2004), $450

 *Subject to a $100 fundraising fee


Rep Fees

Rep fees will be assessed once rosters are finalized and range from $200 to $300.  These fees are for extra/dedicated ice time, outside development, and practice jerseys.

All rep players must have a garment bag for jerseys and suits must be worn when attending all games.


Tournament/Jamboree Fees

Individual SDMHA teams may elect to participate in tournaments or jamborees during the hockey season. All fees related to tournament participation are a team responsibility and will be coordinated through the team manager.



Registration fees are to be payed by credit card either in lump sum at registration or in four monthly installments (Registration submission, April 30, May 31, June 30).


Family Discount

Families with three or more players registered with SDMHA are eligible for a 10% discount on general registration fees.  Please contact the Registrar for further information prior to registration.


Goalie Discount

Families registering a full time goalie with SDMHA are eligible for a $200 reduction in fees for divisions U11, U13, U15, and U18.  Goalies claiming this discount MUST play net for the duration of the season, should a goalie change position mid-season full player fees will be assessed.  Please use promo code GOALIE during the registration check out for this discount.

Athletics for Kids 

A4K is available province-wide for children ages 5 to 18 who are currently enrolled in school. Registration fees are paid for any sport recognized by Sport BC, up to an annual maximum of $600 per child (considerably higher than other sport funding charities). Through A4K, hundreds of BC children have the opportunity to follow their dreams through sport. 

Canadian Tire JumpStart Program 

Canadian Tire JumpStart is a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation such as hockey, soccer and swimming.  Please click on link for more information.

Registrations will be waitlisted after the division capacity has been reached.  SDMHA strives to have everyone play hockey in Sooke but certain numbers might not make it feasible.  All waitlisted registrations will be individually reviewed for potential division placement.

Waitlist requests are subject to a $20 non-refundable fee (to be applied to registration fees if placed).


Tier 1 Tryouts

SDMHA players trying out for any Tier 1 team MUST register and pay for their SDMHA registration prior to trying out.  Should a player make a Tier 1 roster they will be refunded the SDMHA General Registration fee and be released from SDMHA for the current hockey season.


Late Registration

Late registration will be open from June 23 to June 30, 2022 and will be subject to a $50 late registration fee. Please note that some divisions may be full and only accept waitlist requests.  Registration fees are due in full at time of late registration.


RAMP Registration

We are excited to use RAMP for our 2022-23 registrations.  Please note that this system is separate from our website, official assignor and team app. You will need to set up an account ( specifically for registration. Only ONE registration account is required per family.

  • If you have difficulties during registration, please email for assistance with only the words "REGISTRATION HELP" in the subject line to ensure a prompt response.  Include your name, question and a contact number where you can be reached.  Please restrict your questions to registration issues only, as the webmaster will not be answering any questions/concerns regarding registration fees.
